Time is Precious

“It’s not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is, what are we busy about?” — Henry David Thoreau
Time can just slip away from your hands if you’re not aware of its power. Your blindness for greatness can go on forever if you are not careful about the time you spend doing everything possible to see. You have no control over time. Nobody does. You can control the amount and quality of work you can offer with the time you have.
I’m the first to admit that I’m not always excellent at managing my time. When I am engrossed in the little things, time goes by unnoticed. Before I realize it, I have been focusing on inconsequential matters.
Some people are brilliant procrastinators, giving the impression that they are working on something, even though they’re simply wasting time. I’ve committed that mistake a few times.
One day, I decided to never allow myself to aimlessly wander around the Internet again. That’s easier said than done because I often get distracted when I’m on the Internet. For example, there was a time where I ended up spending 10 hours researching and working on covers for books that I haven’t even started writing yet. I spent up to another 12 hours reading Photoshop tutorials without caring that I needed to edit my stories and finish another writing project I was working on.
